| About the Replacement Program
The Air Check Texas Repair and Replacement Program is a voluntary program that removes older, more polluting vehicles from Texas roadways in certain counties with high ground-level ozone.
Residents of certain Texas counties may be eligible to receive vouchers for $3,000 towards the purchase of a newer car or truck and $3,500 towards the purchase of a hybrid from participating auto dealers.
About The Repair Program
If a vehicle has recently failed an emissions test and the consumer meets certain income and registration criteria, the State of Texas may pay up to $600 towards the repair of the vehicle for the purpose of passing the emissions test. The vehicle must be repaired at a Recognized Emission Repair Facility.
